The donation was jointly organised by Ketua Pergerakan Wanita UMNO Bahagian Seputeh and Metrojaya Berhad.

Present at the donation was the President of Ketua Pergerakan Wanita UMNO Bahagian Seputeh YAB Dato’ Seri Rafidah Aziz, Menteri Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri.

Also present were Datuk Hajah Azizah Bt Abdul Samad, Ketua Pergerakan Wanita UMNO Bahagian Seputeh, Dato’ Ahmad Khairummuzammil bin Mohd Yusoff, Chairman of Metrojaya Berhad and Ms Lillian Tan Lian Tee, Managing Director of Metrojaya Berhad.

In his welcoming speech, Metrojaya Chairman, Dato’ Ahmad Khairummuzammil bin Mohd Yusoff said that it was incumbent upon all successful bodies to lend support to where it is most needed. "We help where we can, when we can, and with what we can. We give not to receive, but because it is right to give and this is a value that transcends all cultures," he said.

The children received duit raya packets sponsored by Metrojaya whilst the single mums also received duit raya packets and food hampers sponsored by Network Foods (Malaysia). Both Network Foods (Malaysia) and Metrojaya Berhad are member companies of The MUI Group. The children also received clothing sponsored by Reject Shop, which is a member company of the Metrojaya Group
