MJ by Metrojaya, our first Fashion Concept Store at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara. 

The world of retail is constantly changing, and the pace of this change has accelerated dramatically in this information age. As a trend setting fashion and lifestyle store operator, Metrojaya needs not only to keep pace with such always change but to anticipate its impact upon the needs and tastes of the new generation of Malaysians. 

MJ looks to fill a niche between boutique stores and department stores. MJ is a one stop fashion concept and lifestyle store that offers the latest in young fashion, accessories and international cosmetics and fragrances, along with the personal customer service for which Metrojaya is renowned.  

The MJ name came about when the Metrojaya marketing department noted an alphabetic connection when other fashion houses launched extensions of the central brand. Calvin Klein to CK, Donna Karan to DKNY, and so on. Noting that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and perceiving a format that clearly worked, they hit on MJ by Metrojaya.  

Part of what Metrojaya seeks to achieve with MJ is to positively position and associate the Metrojaya brand with young generations. The hope is that when the needs of this generation change and they become parents and homemakers, then a Metrojaya Department Store will be considered the lifestyle store of first destination and choice. 

MJ sees some of the best and funkiest in Malaysian fashion being offered to visitors to The Curve. Whilst there will naturally be an emphasis on Metrojaya’s home brand labels like East India Company, Somerset Bay, Cape Cod, Freego and Emanuelle, MJ offers top fashion from new and upcoming labels from both home and abroad. People have said that MJ at The Curve is one of our prettiest stores, with lots of space and air and lightness in the ambience. It also houses some of our sparkiest collections that exude a great sense of fun and feelgood in the ranges. We like our MJ store, we hope that you will too!
